Types of Sessions

Breakout Session

Breakout sessions are 45 minute presentations that should incorporate question/answer, and discussion opportunities. You may present alone, with colleagues from your institution (and/or other institutions), or collaboratively with a member of the Taskstream team.

Digital Poster Session

Digital poster sessions provide presenters with an opportunity to share their story using slide shows, images, videos, PowerPoint, or by logging into Taskstream. Digital poster sessions allow attendees to speak with presenters in one-on-one and small group sessions to obtain an in-depth understanding of their poster topics. These sessions do not require a paper version of the poster (although you have the option to share handouts). The technology for these sessions will be provided.

Evaluation Process

Proposals will be reviewed by a minimum of two (2) reviewers who will examine and evaluate proposals according to a rubric. Your proposal should address the following information:

  •         Presenter(s) background and experience
  •         Session outcomes
  •         Engagement of session participants
  •         Organization of content
  •         Presentation media and participant materials
  •         Reviewer recommendations

Preference will be given to proposals best reflecting the conference areas of focus. You will be notified via email by March 13, 2015 regarding the status of your proposal. If your proposal is accepted for one of the presentation sessions, any presenters and co-presenters are expected to register for the conference and pay registration fees. Breakout session presenters will receive a 50% discount on registration.
